The other day someone asked me what the word NOEL meant.  As a closet comedian, I responded, Well it means you are missing a letter. Get it? No L. I know not very funny. The question made me think about the word NOEL.  What does it mean? The first NOEL, we sing about it, but it is not a word used in our vocabulary.

The word takes us to Christmas and in it's oldest meaning points us to first birth.  How appropriate for this season.
