The month of November brings the church year to an end. It is a good thing that the church year and calendar year are different as it helps us to focus on the events of the church year that do not coincide with anything in the calendar year.  Just before Advent begins, we focus on the end times.  I know that most people would not want to focus on judgement and the end of the world.  As Christians though, we look forward to the end because we know that in Christ we are victorious. We take comfort in knowing that as God judges us, He sees us through the blood of Christ.  The blood that cleanses us from our sin.  We are forgiven and given the greatest gift ever, eternal life.
