Zion Lutheran School is dedicated to providing the best possible foundation for your child academically, physically, socially, and most importantly, spiritually. No matter which of these areas are important to you, learn why Zion is the best choice you will ever make for your child.
Compared to local public schools:
Using Wisconsin’s standard test for all schools, the SAME test all public schools use, Zion School’s proficiency levels are higher. The Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) was given to all eighth grade students at Zion Elementary School. This same test is also given to all eighth grade students in all Wisconsin public schools. This document offers a direct comparison of academic ability of our graduating class versus that of local school districts.
How prepared they are for high school:
When teachers at Milwaukee Lutheran High School were asked, "What comes to mind when you think of students who came from Zion?" they said:
- "Good" kids in the sense that they are caring, honest, and show strong character.
- One said, "You can tell the students who came from Zion on the first day of class. They are sitting in their seats when the bell rings, with a notebook open and a pencil ready, looking right at you with a smile on their face."
- Students with self-confidence and a sense of themselves.
- "Kids who know how to learn."
- "Kids with a lot of knowledge of the world around them, very little attitude"
